The serial number is 459181 indicating a 1959 date of production and as these were offered from 1960-63 this is one of the very first. Its barrel length is 25” which is unique to this version and length of pull is a little less than 13” as measured to a Pachmayr recoil pad. The finish is in a solid 90% with the most notable defect being a small rub mark on the top of the barrel. Its checkered walnut Monte Carlo stock shows the signs of normal handling and use but appears free of cracks or serious damage. The bore is in good condition, very bright and shiny. There is a Leupold Vari-X II 3-7 mounted with a Buehler ring and base system that appears quite functional. Additionally this manufacturer warrantees their scopes for life, no questions asked.
