The P220, writes the factory, features a stainless steel slide machined from barstock and coated with a durable, wear resistant Nitron finish; specially coated OD Green tinted lightweight alloy frame with M1913 Picatinny rail, and the Sig Sauer four point safety system of decocking lever, patented automatic firing pin safety block, safety intercept notch, and trigger bar disconnector. This P-220 comes with two factory issue 8 shot stainless, capacity 8+1. Barrel is standard 4 inch. Weight empty with magazine inserted is just over 30 oz. Action is traditional double action: from a rest position, a long double action pull on the first shot and then crisp single action pulls until the shooter fires dry or decocks the pistol. Sights are factory contrast sights. Replacement price, when a person can even find a P-220, is upwards of $900 in our area.
