Bluing is faded on receiver, much stronger on barrel with some freckling, bore is excellent and bright with strong rifling. Wood is original and in very good condition considering the age of this rifle. This 99G is a Take Down model with Schnabel forend and Round Count window (5 round rotary magazine) and Marbles rear sight. Mechanically sound and a great shooter the Savage 99 is an iconic rifle of the northern deer camps. Also included, but not pictured, are a pair of Weaver bases & rings and a Bushnell Sportview scope.
