The Magnus Sporting Ltd. is a truly custom gun and the best value in Caesar Guerin’s line of fine Italian, side-plated sporting clays guns. It features 32-inch Maxis overbored barrels with ventilated side ribs, five-inch long dual-conical forcing cones, oversized locking lugs, easily replaceable trunnions instead of a problematic hinge pin, extra heavy-duty Perazzi-style ejectors with oversized extractor cams and removable disc ejector stops for easy disassembly, and six Maxis conical-parallel extended choke tubes (CYL, SK, two IC, LM and M). The gun’s low-profile, Boss-style receiver features screwless/pinless sideplates with brilliantly colored case-hardened finish, 75% coverage scroll engraving, and Bulino-style gold gamebird inlays on both sideplates and the bottom of the receiver. The Turkish Circasian walnut buttstock and fore-end show vivid, complex light/dark figure. Buttstock and fore-end are hand checkered at 26 L.P.I. and finished in hand-rubbed oil. Right hand buttstock with moderate right hand palm swell, and Schnabel fore-end fitted with Anson-type push-button fore-end release. The 11mm parallel target top rib is equipped with a factory white-bead front sight and gold mid-rib bead. An Easy Hit fiber-optic sight is provided unmounted so you can attach it or not as you chose. The Maxis barrel system (5-inch forcing cones, overbored barrels, and conical-parallel extended choke tubes) results in very modest perceived recoil with 12 ga. target loads, and the 32-inch barrels swing smoothly and deliberately and balance perfectly on the trunnions. The gold target trigger is easily user adjustable for length of pull, take-up and over-travel. Weight is 8 lbs. 2 oz.
