From its CB date code, the photo specimen of the Beretta 4430 Stampede Carbine was manufactured in 2007, a product of a sweet but short lived relationship between Beretta USA and Aldo Uberti Company of Italy. This carbine is the descendant, of course, of the first invented 1855 Colt Revolver Carbines that saw action during the Civil War, and their cartridge loaded descendants that were modified Single Action Army Colts. Caliber is .45 Colt, 6 shot revolving carbine. Barrel is 17 5/8 inches, half moon blade front sight with fixed notch rear sight. Barrel, cylinder, trigger, hammer, tang and trigger guard are bright Italian blued, and frame proper is beautifully color casehardened. Maximum overall length is 33 inches, and length of pull for the buttstock is 13 3/4 inches from the center of the trigger to the center of the buttstock’s brass buttplate. Buttstock is reddish-hued Italian Walnut, gloss finished with Beretta logo embedded. Type is what we call Beals style revolving carbine, single action only, 6 shot cylinder capacity, caliber .45 Long Colt. These carbines are brand new in their original boxes, and we found them in an old Southern warehouse where they’ve sat for the past three years.
