This is the original limited production Collins Touche’ with solid brass buckle body, Coco Bolo wood insert and stainless-steel knife. After developing the buckle/knife Collins manufactured a small original run under his own name before selling the rights to Gerber Legendary Knifes who then re-designed the Touche’ to incorporate a plastic body in lieu of the original brass body but still retained the name: “Touche”. This knife is new old stock, never used or mounted on a belt. The buckle body is solid brass, the wood inlay is Coco Bolo wood, the drop-point blade is made of stainless steel, buffed to a mirror polish. It’s 1 3/4? long by 3/4? wide at it’s base, and is a mere 3/16? thick at its spine. It can be sharpened to an outrageously fine angle. With a half-twist of its slim steel face, the Touché belt buckle unfolds into a small pocketknife as a precisely asymmetrical cam screw unclips and releases it into your hand. This knife is serial numbered B324. Blackie Collins designed a lot of cool blades back in the day. In the case of the Touché, this discreet-carry daily folder was touted as a (theoretically) perfect escape tool for a kidnapped executive. In the factory box with original paperwork, the finish on the wood insert has dried a bit with age while in storage. $95.00 plus postage $11.75 priority mail small box insured.
