There are pitifully few books or even posts by competent individuals on the different variants of cheap handguns in the United States between World War II and the end of the 20th century. This is a close clone to the Titan or Targa E25B or GT27B Pistols that were manufactured in Italy up until 1968, and then beginning in the early 1970s manufactured in Miami and Hialeah using steel Italian parts on pot metal U.S. Made frames. Model is simply S.A. .25, Single Action .25. We believe that this one represents an interim manufacturing foray from the descendants of Eig Cutlery, ancestor to the presently thriving European American Armory. The marking that throws us, however, is the Instruction Manual Warning on the side of the barrel shroud. This is a very close copy to the Italian Titan; but its only steel parts are a few of the internal parts, the safety lever, hammer, magazine body and barrel sleeve, which is mounted in a pot metal barrel shroud. We believe that Q.F.I. was a briefly viable company that filled in the gap between 1969 and about 1971 or 1972 when F.I.E. resumed production of the mostly steel Titans. It is in good condition, its anodized finish an even gray, down from its original glossy black. Bore, chamber, and mechanism all are intact and operable. It was manufactured some time in the 1970s at latest, and most likely in 1969. We're offering it for only $ 119.95.
