Few of us will ever own a Smith & Wesson 1977 Stainless model 63 Kit Gun. The new S&Ws are all 5 inch barreled models, quite curious in appearance anyway. Here is the Brazilian descendant of the Smith & Wesson, the Taurus model 94 chambered in .22 Long Rifle Caliber, 9 Shot cylinder capacity, with 4 inch full lug stainless barrel. For shooting purposes, our local customers have outperformed the 4 inch Smith & Wessons once a person runs about 300 rounds through one, and that's the case with any stainless firearm. Compared to the conspicuous Internal Locks on the S&Ws, this Taurus's internal lock is unobtrusive, located on the back hump of the hammer behind the .350 semi-target serrated hammer spur. Both the Taurus's .350 combat trigger and the hammer are fully traditional satin stainless and look more like the 1977 S&Ws than the presently produced 63-5 variants. Sights are windage and elevation adjustable, Red Ramp front and White Outline rear. Grips are great-feeling, great-pointing and fairly good looking Taurus extended boot type. Weight empty is a well balanced 25 ounces. This particular specimen was only briefly locally owned, early this spring, and it has been fired fewer than 200 rounds. Its only surface detractions are faint cylinder rotation marking and very faint buffing on some of its sharp edges. We classify it as Excellent in Box, since no more than 5 percent of its surfaces are affected by any use indications by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is excellent mechanically; bore, cylinder chambers, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. It is in its original box with all its papers, both keys for its internal lock, and a never-completed original warranty card. Own this fine Taurus model 94s in 4 inch Stainless, a credit to, and maybe even an improvement over, the Smith & Wesson 1977 Stainless Kit Gun for only $ 339.95.
