LG2550 Here is a specimen of the early Steyr straight-pull military rifles put in the field by the armies not only of Austria, but also of Hungary, Rumania and even Africa up until the 1970s. In it's original chambering, 8x50R. Barrel length is 30 inches, straight-pull bolt action with full coverage military walnut stock and distinctive bayonet anchor. This one bears no importation marks, so it quite possibly was a WWII bring-back. We bought it from a local estate here in West Tennessee, but have no information on the original U.S. owner. Surface detractions are only moderate, brown patina finish with some original bluing still visible near the wood in a couple of places. Bolt body finish is quite good. Magazine well sides have been sanded. Bore is very good, strong rifling with no visible pitting in the bore or chamber. Serial number is low range, 17xxE. We rate this rifle as Good, perhaps even Very Good, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is certainly Curio & Relic status. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges.
