From an old Southern warehouse comes this Beretta Barrel and its mates, perfectly preserved in their original boxes. From their BB date codes, they were manufactured in 1992. Manufacturer was Fabbrica d’Armi Pietro Beretta S.p.A. of Brescia, Italy. These barrels quite possibly never were in Accokeek, Maryland. This is a barrel to fit any Beretta model AL1, AL2, A301, A302, or A303 shotgun chambered in 12 gauge; or any Browning B80 chambered in that gauge, since Beretta actually manufactured the Brownings anyway. Browning B-80, Beretta AL, 300, 301, 302, 303 Shotgun Barrels will interchange, writes our expert Arizona Cajun Mr. Corson. Type is gas operated semi automatic shotgun barrel. Chambering is 2 3/4 inch shells only; this barrel will Not eject a spent 3 inch hull. That might or might not be remedied by a competent gunsmith; we are neither competent nor gunsmiths. Another possibility is replacing the magazine tube’s threaded end shaft on an A300 outlander, because the Outlander’s shaft is too large to fit through the lug, but the magazine’s threads are the same. Construction is entirely steel except for the brass tip on the front sight. Length is 22 inches from muzzle to chamber mouth. Bore is chrome lined, .718 cylinder bore and so marked CL. Front sight is welded serrated ramp, with dovetailed brass beaded blade. Rear sight is dovetailed low profile 5 piece, spring loaded and windage and elevation adjustable. Weight is 1 pound 11 ounces. Finish is blued steel, with white lug assembly, and chrome lined bore and chamber. Nickel plated buckshot, by the way, will mark and eventually peel the chrome. Each barrel is well greased, new and unfired in its original box with protective papers, Italian language labels, and Italian language certificate of proof testing. We degreased the photo specimen.
