The Super X 2 is furthermore capable of firing five shells in a half second. That puts it ahead of the fabled Benelli Black Eagle, both in speed and in felt recoil. In our traditionalist minds, Belgium wins over Italy by a long, long shot. This shotgun is manufactured, of course, in Belgium for Winchester. Its 28 inch Vent Rib barrel is a proven performer for sight radius advantage and tight shooting, and the front sight is High Visibility Red Fiber Optic. Back-bored barrel with Invector Plus Choke tubes makes it an instant champion. Weighing in at 8 1/2 pounds, this Super X 2 has a superior balance and feel. Entire finish is Water Resistant Black Matte – both metal and graphite based pliable but durable buttstock and forend. Length of pull is 13 7/8 inches with pad; drop at comb is a sure handling 1.5 inches that descends to 2 3/8 at the heel; shims are readily available to adjust the drop and cant. This Super X 2 C comes with one Invector Plus Choke Tube, a .790 muzzle diameter Modified that will handle any kind of shot. Caliber, of course, is 12 gauge; and this SX-2, like its Benelli Competitor, will handle any 12 gauge loads from 2 3/4 inch to 3 inch to 3 1/2 inch. Surface detractions are only moderate, a series of small spots on the barrel at 8 o’clock; three tiny white spots on the right side of the receiver, and a few streaks on the left side of the receiver. We rate it as Very Good, 85 percent vicinity finishwise by our estimate; photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent; and from our knowledge of its exclusive owner, we estimate this shotgun has been fired fewer than 100 times. In many respects, This Super X 2 is preferable to its Super X 3 replacement. The SX-2 variant is a few ounces heavier than its Super X 3 descendant. The Super X 3 sacrifices its steel magazine tube, and our shooters prefer steel tubes any day. Replacement price on this fine shotgun in our area is $1000 or more if a person can even find one.
