Description:
From its home domicile here in West Tennessee comes this well preserved Winchester Super X Model 1 Trap Shotgun. The SX-1 Series was produced only from 1974 until 1981. From this one’s M88000 range serial number, it was manufactured in 1980 or 1981. Manufacturer was Olin / Winchester Firearms in New Haven, CT. Type is Gas Operated semi automatic shotgun. Chambering is 12 gauge, 2 3/4 inch shells only. Construction is entirely steel metal, with the exception of the gold plated alloy trigger. Barrel is 30 inch length Full Choke and so marked, .692 at the muzzle, .865 outside diameter at the forend cap. Sight system is 14 post .375 serrated top ventilated rib, with white polymer front bead and original stainless mid bead, .28 high at midsection. Magazine tube is stainless steel 4 shot, 4 + 1 fully loaded capacity, and the spring retainer and wood adapter or two shot plug is intact. Two piece bolt and shell carrier are chrome plated steel. Receiver has sighting serrations to the rear contour. Metal finish is bright blue, except as we have noted. Trigger is .250 smooth faced, and pulls at its original crisp 5 1/2 pounds with no felt creep. Wood is original glossy finished American Walnut, with cut checkered beavertail forend, cut checkered laterals on the pistol grip with white liner cap, and original factory white lined and black spacer 3/4 inch recoil pad. Walnut has prominent fiddleback figuring, as the photos show, with burl on the forend. Stock drop is Trap type 1 3/8 inch drop for the entire length of the Monte Carlo comb, with only 1 3/4 inch at the butt. Buttstock has a 1/2 inch Left Hand cant. Length of pull is 14 1/2 inches from the trigger face to the end of the pad. Weight empty is 8 pounds 7 ounces, with center of gravity at the breech face.
Surface detractions are minimal to moderate on this shotgun, principally some scouring on the under side of the forend next to the receiver. We count a half dozen small scours on the buttstock, with faint edge wear on the receiver and a minimal amount of lateral freckling. We rate this SX-1 as Very Good, perhaps even Excellent, 85 to 90 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. Bolt, carrier, and trigger plating are strong throughout. From the moderate buffing to the bolt and carrier jeweling, we estimate this Winchester has been fired between 1000 and 1500 times, no rounds at all for a Super X 1. Replacement pricing on its surviving competitors from Remington and Beretta price out between $1,000 and $1500 in our area. We’re offering the Winchester Super X model 1 Trap in the photos, however, for only $ 659.00. 2% discount if payment is with USPS Money Order & not credit card.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
