Here is one of the first Detonics pistols, period; and certainly most likely the first pistol to make it into West Tennessee. Manufacturer stamping is simply Detonics Assoc. / Seattle, WA; and the serial number is 2800 range. We estimate it to be second year of production, 1977; in any event it was manufactured before 1980. This is one of the original Combat Masters, .45 ACP, 3 1/2 inch barrel, 6 shot capacity with MMC extended rear and stake on front sights. This Combat Master has likely been renickeled, and we say that because of the weakness of the words Detonics .45 on the left side of its slide. Barrel and guide rod appear to be original stainless steel. The only significant surface detraction to the renickel is some spotty weakness to the finish on the forward left side of the frame and on the grip frame's edges. Grips appear to be original. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. We're offering this attractive, eminently serviceable and collectable early Detonics Combat Master for only $ 599.95.
