Description: One of the scarce .22 Short versions, introduced in 1939. This one dates from the 2nd year of production, just before America entered WWII. Stocked in fine , straight-grained Walnut , with no cracks. Wood appears to have been oil refinished,

Mechanically sound. No remaining exterior metal finish. No pitting issues. Clear, legible markings.

A great candidate for refinishing.
