On top of gun, just forward of the trigger area is stamped '1938' On top of gun, just behind trigger area is stamped 'S/42' On left side of gun, just forward and above trigger is stamped '3062' with '62' on all parts listed.. This 1938 dated Luger has the manufacturers code of S/42 which tells us that it was made by Mauser.
