Built on a 1911-A1 United States Property frame, with original miltitary CSR inspection and P proofs. Serial No. 719.xxx from 1940 Colt production. Target trigger, ambi-safety and MMC adustable rear sight complete the package. The action is smooth and tight with a crisp combat style trigger pull. Grips are genuine Colt pewter engraved presentation grips. The un-modified (except easy to remove nickel) Colt 1911-A1 CSR frame is from a very valueable pre-war U.S. Army contract. This frame could also be restored (with a proper slide and barrel) into a blued 1940 CSR military pistol in .45ACP. But it is also a very nice combat pistol as is. C&R is fine on this gun in most states.
