This 3 inch chambered 28 inch Vent Rib barrel sports a .665 muzzle diameter, 16 gauge tight, Remington Turkey Super Full Rem-Choke tube clearly marked Not for Steel Shot. We will happily install a new Improved Cylinder Rem-Choke if the buyer requests it. From its L P barrel code, this 870 was manufactured in February of 1995, and its exclusive owner bought it new from us a couple of months later in time for Tennessee’s new Turkey Season. He fired fewer than 100 rounds of magnum shells in it, and less than 1000 rounds of dove loads, since Turkey, Crow, and Doves were exclusively what he used it for. Surface detractions are moderate, with a moderate amount of weathering evidence on its stock and forend edges, and some weakening to the receiver finish from carrying it in the woods and fields near Garnertown, Tennessee. We rate it as Very Good, 80 percent vicinity finishwise; photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is excellent mechanically, bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent, and our Irish extraction relatives tend to maintain their weapons better than our Scotsmen do.
