Description: The AYB serial number prefix on this .357 Military & Police Heavy Barrel Stainless model 65, third engineering change, Revolver dates it to the Year 1987. Extensive moderate surface scuffing and scratching relegate it to Good, perhaps Very Good condition finishwise. Despite its surface condition, the original classic Smith & Wesson streaked stainless finish is largely intact, and in experienced hands could be restored into a very nice, very traditional configuration. That fact, paired with the thoroughly traditional satin stainless trigger and hammer, give this Model 65-3 considerable potential for aesthetics. The other consideration is that the Upstate New York Department that this Stainless .357 served in etched the serial number inside the yoke, because this revolver and its partners were racked every night when the officer went off duty. Later issue Michaels grips have moderate wear and scuffing, and also rate Very Good. Matte finish to the top of the frame and barrel are intact, with about 20 percent light holster buffing on the frame area. We consider that it has 70 percent or so of its original finish intact, but the photos should suffice for interested parties to judge finish grade for themselves. Except for the moderate blast effect, this revolver would rate Excellent mechanically. Blast effect to the under side of the topstrap directly above the forcing cone amounts to moderate light narrow cutting, no more than .001 deep and its middle in our estimation, and it traverses about 80 percent of the width of the topstrap. Cylinder alignment is excellent, because there is no more than 1mm total lateral cylinder movement or wobble with the trigger relaxed, and even less with the trigger pulled all the way. Double action trigger pull is tight but smooth, and the hammer travels 5 to 10 degrees after the cylinder times into place in that mode of firing. On single action, the hammer travels a full 30 to 35 degrees after cylinder lockup, and the single action trigger pull is a crisp 4 pounds. Cylinder face to forcing cone gap is a near-optimal .007. This Square Butt 65 Stainless is traditional in every respect; it is not only mechanically sound but is also a potential beauty with a minimal amount of streaking work. We’re offering it for only $ 329.95

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
