What a great competition over/under in 20ga., 28ga., .410 bore made by one of the best…Krieghoff or Germany. The K20 is a smaller framed version of the famed K80 and comes in a variety of grades and configurations featuring luscious engraving, outstanding balance and handling characteristics, and that renowned German engineering that assures your satisfaction for decades to come. This fine shotgun set is in absolutely new condition, HAS FAR SUPERIOR ENGRAVING TO THE STANDARD PLANTATION GOLD BY MASTER ENGRAVER BADILLINE, is fitted with matching 28ga. and .410 bore barrels, an aluminum heavy duty maker’s case, AND VERY HIGH END CUSTOM WOOD WITH LEATHER PAD. With 15 different extended choke tubes, your are set up for your favorite clays game (especially competitive skeet in all gauges), upland birds, or the heaviest shooting South America has to offer. The gun is weighted at 8lbs. and swings like magic with all three barrel sets. Recoil is barely felt and the swing is incredibly smooth. No wonder shooters who are serious invest in the Krieghoff over/under guns.
The barrels are all 30” in length, and the gun balances almost identically with all barrel sets and all are as new. The 20ga. choke tubes include Skeet, IC, IC, M, IM. The 28ga. choke tubes includes Skeet, Skeet, IC, M, M, IM. The .410 choke tubes include Skeet, Skeet, IC, IM.
The receiver is delightfully engraved by Badillini in an open Holland and Holland type scroll with bulino vignettes, a gold grouse on the left side, a gold woodcock on the right side, both sides lined with gold wire. THE ENGRAVING ON THIS GUN IS FAR SUPERIOR TO ANY OTHER GOLD PLANTATION YOU WILL SEE. COMPARE THIS GUN TO OTHER AND YOU WILL SEE IT IS A VERY SPECIAL K20.
The buttstock and forend appear to be custom, though I have no documentation of such. The wood figure is far above anything from the factory on a standard Gold Plantation, richly figured English walnut with a deep, well shaped pistol grip, right hand palm swell, perfect 26 LPI borderless checkering, superb wood to metal fit, grain laid out properly at the head of the stock, leather covered pad, Schnabel style forend; truly a master stockmaker’s work. The LOP is set at 14” from the rear trigger position to the end of a pigskin covered pad, 13 3/8” LOP to the end of the wood (a new pad can be easily installed to gracefully extend LOP to at least 14 3/8”), 1 1/16” drop at heel, 1 ¾” drop at comb, neutral cast at heel, slight toe out. The stock is designed to bring most all of the recoil to the shoulder and to eliminate any recoil felt on your face. The stock can be bent to your specs for about $150. Shooting the gun in any gauge is a delight.
The Gold Plantation in 3 barrels sets are not easy to come by and sell in the range of $30,000 before any extras are included. The custom stock is easily a $5000 addition to the gun, all in brand new condition. Even the case is as new. I am selling this gun for thousands less than you can buy it new, and it is a “screamer”.
