Description: Battle of Little Big Horn "Trade Knife" from Sitting Bull's camp, ca. 1870 - dug up steel trade knife without wood handle from Sitting Bull's camp where the Battle of Little Big Horn began. A historical trade knife by Atlas Iron Works that shows extensive use before it was left behind by the Sioux tribe as they quickly broke camp after the Battle of Little Big Horn and crossed the border into Canada. (Provenance: Reno Battlefield Museum - Inventory - Pitch Collection, accompanied with a Letter of Authenticity from the Deptartment of the Interior Bureau of Land Management signed by Special Agent Lee B.
