HG5548 Serial number range on this Blue Steel High Standard Sentinel revolver is 79,000 with S prefix and V suffix. It was manufactured in President Reagan’s Re-election Year, 1984. Trigger guard and grip frame are anodized alloy; main frame and other parts construction is entirely blue steel, bright finish with matte serrated trigger and hammer. Grips are period correct checkered rubber finger-groove combat, manufactured by Mustang grips. This revolver comes to us from the estate of our favorite Pennsylvanian, and it is well maintained and sparingly used. Surface detractions are minimal as the photos show. There is a faint amount of whitening next to the widage adjustment screw on the adjustable rear sight. Trigger guard shows whitning on its edges, and there is a faint amount of rotation marking and rear edge whitening on the cylinder surfaces. We rate this steel frame Sentinel as Excellent, since no more than 10 percent of its finish is affected by wear. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. it is Excellent mechanically; bore, cylinder chambers and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. Double action trigger pull retains its original stiffness, and the cylinder times correctly at the break in all nine positions.
