This Kimber of Oregon Limited Edition Sporting Rifle in .280 Remington is special because it is one of the extremely rare National Sporting Fraternity rifles produced by special order in 1990 as a limited edition run of Kimber BGRs available only to members of the NSF who pre-ordered the rifles. The right side of the barrel is factory engraved in cursive script: “One of One Hundred for the N.S.F.L.”. The bottom metal is engraved with the NSFL logo: “hunting horn with stag head and fishing fly”. All metal is finished in high polish deep blue-black. The serial number is “NSF79-100”. This rifle is a perfect companion piece for another NSF rifle L & M Enterprises is offering currently in the .338 WIN MAG caliber, serial number “NSF28-100”. This "NSF79-100" rifle is only the 3RD NSF Kimber of Oregon BGR that L & M Enterprises has ever had in inventory. The stock exhibits strong fiddle back cross figure from tip to tip and wonderful translucent coloring. The barrel is a featherweight taper barrel at 22 inches. This scarce rifle includes Super America/Super Grade features including AAA walnut stock, square bridge receiver, hand shaped beaded cheekpiece, three dimensional steel grip cap, red Kimber butt pad, hand-cut checkering that wraps around the forearm and crosses-over the pistol grip, inletted two-screw sling studs, and black foreend tip.
