This listing is for the exact rifle in the photos. From Benelli's distribution system comes this Uberti 1886 High Wall Rifle chambered in .45-70 Government Caliber. Manufacturer was Aldo Uberti S.R.L. of Gardone Val Trompa, Italy. Importer is Beretta USA of Accokeek, Maryland. Type is long range heavy barrel falling block single shot rifle. Construction is entirely steel and Italian Walnut. Barrel is 32 inch heavy octagonal 3/8 inch across the flats. Outside flat diameter is .874 at the muzzle, .997 at the forend, and 1.06 at the receiver. Bore is 1:18 right hand 6 groove. Sights are 3/8 dovetailed front and rear, with one piece base and blade front, and semi-buckhorn, push elevator rear. Trigger is .375 smooth face, with matching checkered serration hammer. Pull is a light original 2 1/4 pounds with no felt creep and minimal overtravel. Barrel is polished surface blued steel. Receiver, lever, hammer, trigger, and buttplate are color casehardened. Forend is schnabel type smooth walnut, with matching buttstock that has a 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 drop, and 14 inch pull from the trigger face to the steel buttplate's center. Weight empty is 10 pounds 2 ounces, centered mid point on the rear sight. Overall length is 49 inches. This rifle comes to us from Beretta's distribution system. It is in its original box with protective papers, instruction manual, Uberti Historical brochure, and a Beretta Y Grade Certificate dated from 2009, with 60 day warranty from the date of the FFL transfer to the buyer. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. Surface detractions are negligible only tiny pressure wood finish mars along the butt plate on the right side.
