Photos show the first specimen we ever had of the Ruger LC9 Pistol, Ruger’s new subcompact ultra lightweight 9mm semi-auto, one of only a handful of 9mms that meets our photographer’s field tests for carry in an ankle holster. This particular LC-9 comes to us from one of our Carolina Neighbors who fired it fewer than 20 times. This pistol, like its Kel-Tec counterpart, is not a pleasant shooting target pistol, and subcompact automatics are not for the faint of heart or weak of hand. Small semi-autos, by their nature, require stiff slide return springs, and that makes it difficult for anyone affected by Arthur, as in arth-ritis, to operate them. Our neighbor traded it for an easy to operate CZ-75. The LC9, writes the factory, is a double-action-only, hammer-fired, locked-breech pistol with a smooth trigger pull. Control and confident handling of the Ruger LC9 are accomplished through reduced recoil and aggressive frame checkering for a positive grip in all conditions. The Ruger LC9 features smooth "melted" edges for ease of holstering, carrying and drawing. Specs are blowback double action only subcompact semi-automatic pistol; caliber 9mm Parabellum, 9mm Luger, 9x19, call it what you will, The 9mm; capacity is 7+1 rounds and each LC-9 comes with a total of One blue steel magazine, made by Mec-Gar for Ruger and factory Ruger stamped with interchangeable finger rest and flat floorplates; firing pin safety, lever safety, and magazine safety; loaded chamber indicator top extractor; .960 slide thickness; .968 maximum frame thickness with a comfortable .867 upper contour; 3.12 inch barrel; height 4 3/8 inches from the top of the rear sight to the bottom of the flat magazine plate; maximum overall length 5 7/8 inches from the muzzle to the grip frame strut area; serrated blue steel slide and polymer frame; 8 pound range long, relatively smooth double action trigger pull; weight empty 17.1 ounces. Sights are low profile 3 dot, dovetailed into the slide and drift adjustable for windage. Kinship to the Kel-Tec PF-9 is much less obvious on this Ruger than on its smaller .380 caliber LCP. The PF-9, of course, has no manually operated safeties and a much rougher trigger pull than its Ruger descendant. And for our in-store market, our photographer says he can’t get an LCP or a P-32 Kel-Tec to be still in an Uncle Mike’s #10 ankle holster. That is not the case, however, with the PF-9 and the LC-9; a #1 Uncle Mike holds them still enough to suit him even if we are privy to his difficulties in drawing said weapons. Most germane to our efforts, the LC-9 is approved for transfer to civilians by the California Department of Justice, not the case with the Kel-Tec. Replacement pricing on these pistols in our area ranges well over $400 per unit. This specimen is in its original box with all its papers, and it is indistinguishable from its brand new mates. We’re offering the LC-9 in the photos for only $ 349.00. Not transferable to civilian residents of Massachusetts or Los Angeles, California.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
