Here is our first stock specimen of the new Winchester 101, made in Belgium, and this time the burden of proof is on the Belgians. They indeed measure up. This is a closely machined, tight fitting, cosmetically perfect shotgun that retains all the classic lines of Winchester 101 tradition. The factory writes that the new 101 series shotguns retain traditional dimensions, classic checkering and understated engraving have made them timeless. This enhanced variation of the Select 101 is in every way both classic and improved. Traditional features for a perfect fit include simple elegant engraving, elegant vented Pachmayr decelerator
recoil pad with white line accent and a top quality invector plus choke tube wrench. Weight empty is a superbly balanced 7 pounds; drop on the European walnut buttstock is 1 1/2 inches at the comb, and 2 3/8 inches at the heel; finish is matchless deep rich FN blue steel; mechanism is over and under, recoil transfer, single selective trigger, automatic ejectors. Barrels are 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch chambered interchangeably, Invector Plus with a total of three choke tubes, Improved Cylinder, Modified, and full.
