Description: Savage Stevens 258A Bolt Action 20 ga 1960 Exc C&R >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> This listing is for the exact shotgun in the photos. C&R Licenses are acceptable, since it is almost 60 years old. From its exclusive home in Nashville comes this attractive and serviceable Savage Bolt Action Shotgun. Manufacturer was Savage Arms of Chicopee Falls, Mass., so marked on top of the barrel. It was never serialized, but from its L date code, it was manufactured in 1960. Model is Stevens 258A. Type is clip fed bolt action repeating shotgun. Construction is steel barrel, screws, magazine, internal parts, trigger, and hammer, all built into a steel receiver with an alloy trigger guard. Stock is American Hardwood. Chambering is 20 gauge, for 2 3/4 inch shells only. Barrel is 26 inch, with standard smooth bore and .6015 Muzzle diameter Modified fixed choke. This shotgun will digest steel shot and even slugs, but is not optimal for either of those loads. Sight is threaded alloy bead front, with serrated groove rear in the receiver. Trigger is .275 smooth faced steel, pulls two stage at 6 1/2 pounds pressure with substantial felt creep. Trigger releases the bolt; and bolt has a cocked indicator in the firing mechanism. Safety is opposite of a bolt action rifle; forward position is safe and back is fire. Magazine holds 1 rounds of 2 3/4 inch shells, so 2 + 1 fully loaded capacity on 2 3/4 inch. Stock drop is 1 3/8 inches by 2 1/4. Length of pull is an adult 13 3/4 inches from the trigger face to the end of the polymer butt plate. Stock has a full 1 inch right hand cast, so this is not a southpaw friendly shotgun. Overall length is 1/2 inches. Weight empty is 7 pounds, centered at the breech face. Finish is brushed surface blued steel, chrome plated bolt, black anodized guard, and oil refinish stained hardwood akin to its original issue finish. Surface detractions are minimal to moderate, principally finish freckling. We rate this shotgun as Very Good Refinish, close to Excellent Refinish, 85 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. Replacement pricing on any US Made Shotgun is $300 or more. We’re offering the Eisenhower Era Savage Stevens 258A in the photos, however, for only $189.00. Any ammunition or personnel in photos are Not included. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>$20 long guns lower 48; $60 to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, USPS Priority Mail, insured with Delivery Confirmation. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
