William Greener was most noted for his Facile Princeps boxlock and incredible attention to detail in manufacturing and finish work. He also produced some of the very finest of the British "BEST GUN" trade, as you see here in this Model L70, their second from the top offering. With full sidelock action, cocking indicators, arcaded fences, finely sculpted frame, tear drop carving, concave rib, Sir Joseph Whitworth Steel barrels with wedges of engraving, horn tip forend, luscious wood stocked to the fences, over-the-top (literally) checkering, and full coverage engraving that is the finest I have seen ON ANY BRITISH GUN, we present a true bargain on a BEST GUN. And very hard to find is this gun proofed at 1 1/4oz., or as is referred to as a "PIGEON GUN". Add that it retains most of its original factory condition since 1913 when it was made, this Greener sn64306 is a solid investment opportunity and one heck of a pheasant gun! If you shoot a lot of targets a better vintage sporting clays gun could not be found.
