The .357 / .38 Special interchangeability puts this revolver very close to the original .38/40 without the expense involved with the .38/40 bottleneck case production. This JEF1403 Beretta, as the photos show, is bright blue parts and grip frame combined with beautiful color casehardened main frame, hammer, and gate. The distinctive curves of this revolver make for easy, natural pointing, and that was the intent of the design anyway. Barrel is 4 3/4 inch, fixed groove rear sight and blade front, six shot capacity of .38 Special and .357 Magnum interchangeably; single action only revolver with serrated spur hammer with transfer bar and floating firing pin; .300 smooth face blue steel trigger; authentic original style black composite grips with Beretta logo; 43 ounces empty. Disassembly for cleaning is just like a Single Action Army, cross detent plunger over grooved cylinder pin. Beretta has discontinued importation; for one thing, Uberti’s reputation is sufficient that any of their products can stand on their own marketability, even here in Tennessippi where we are. Uberti does not catalog a Bisley on its web page. Model for this Beretta Uberti is 4403 Stampede Bisley. Replacement pricing in our area, if a person can even find a Bisley type, is upwards of $1,000.00.
