FS: Marlin Model 336SC in 35 Remington with a JM stamped barrel. This one was manufactured in 1951 making it 72 years old. It is in excellent condition, considering its age, and comes with a leather sling and a true-to-the-era Weaver 2.5 power rifle scope mounted on Pachmayr side mount swing-away rings. The weaver scope is in excellent condition showing clear glass and 100% original bluing. The Pachmayr rifle scope mount is in serviceable condition but probably needs to be retired and replaced. (See Pictures) This Marlin rifle shows very few handling marks, the wood is a beautiful dark walnut. The bluing is dark and in great condition. The only issue that I see is where the Pachmayr side mount was attached to the rifle. Holes were drilled in the left side of the receiver to attach the scope mount. The drilled holes don't affect the functionality of the rifle or hinder its performance but if you remove the scope the drilled holes are visible and should be filled with flush-mounted screws. I have placed a very low price on this old Marlin to entice someone to buy it and when you do you will have a fine rifle that is just aching to get back in the field on another deer hunt. Maybe you?
