Here is a very nice, rare-variant 10mm Smith & Wesson from 1992. It is the 1006 with Adjustable Sights and third and final trigger guard configuration. Surface detractions are not immediately conspicuous, and they are as follows. Bottom forward area of the trigger guard has light holster buffing. There is a series of light superficial buff-y streaks on the bottom side of the frame forward of the trigger guard. Forward edges of the slide and frame have thin buffed areas. Top of slide has a few light streaks from holster buffing. Barrel’s chamber area on the outside, the exposed area at the ejector port has only moderate buffing from slide contact, but note how little buffing there is on the bell-nosed end of the barrel from bushing contact. Not only do we know this 1006’s exclusive retail owner, the bell nose attests that this pistol has been fired fewer than 100 rounds. Neither of the magazine followers are significantly streaked or dirty. Barrel length, of course, is full Government size 5 inches, and the pistol’s weight empty with 1 mag is 43 oz. This pistol is in its original box with all its papers, extra magazine, and original grip in addition to the Hogue Monogrip that is installed. There are two extra mainspring housing brackets for the Hogues. We rate this pistol as Excellent throughout, with 90 percent or more of its original finish intact.
