Here is a worthy specimen of the classic Remington 700, complete with BDL floorplate / internal magazine configuration, in a downsized, lightened version. The barrel is a lighter contoured, still-accurate 20 inch; and the length of pull from the face of the serrated adjustable trigger to the end of the 1 inch factory recoil pad is 12 3/8 inches, down from the normal 14 inch LOP. The SPS, Special Purpose Synthetic, is highly weather resistant with its matte blue finish and monte carlo style synthetic buttstock with easy-gripping stippled areas on the sides of the forend and pistol grip. This 700 SPS Youth's only detractions are a very faint amount of operation buffing to the bolt, and some scuffing from scope mount contact on top of the receiver. We rate it as Excellent, since we estimate that 95 percent or more of its finish is unaffected by any sort of wear. Photos, at any rate, should suffice for prospective owners to judge finish grade for themselves.
