Our barrel has the compensator permanently attached so there will be no wiggle or play that can throw off your shot. Since this rigid system is pre-assembled , a barrel bushing is included already on the barrel. To install this unit, just remove your old barrel and drop in our new barrel with compensator. Will require new barrel link and barrel link pin. Good barrel, dropped in my 1911 (Lowell, MA) 6/15/2013 I bought this for my Remington R1. Installation was easy, just had to add the barrel link and pin and it fit like it was made for it. Have already put through about 250 or so rounds and it made a huge difference with follow up shots. I read quite a bit about bushing type compensators and fixed barrel compensators and that's why I went with this barrel. I highly recommend this product.
