It is exhibition circassian walnut. The stock was initially fitted by Accurate Innovations with their one piece aluminum bedding block, similar to HS Precision stocks. It then went to a custom stockmaker for shaping, checkering, and finishing. It has flawless hand-cut fine line checkering, and hand rubbed oil finish. Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad, steel grip cap with timed screws. European pancake shadow line cheekpiece. Very trim with nice open grip. Any Remington 700 long action or clone will be drop in fit. With the CNC machined bedding block, no additional bedding needed. (see Accurate Innovations site for better description). Barrel channel free floated for Remington standard sporter contour barrel (30-06, 270, etc). Just drop in your barreled action and shoot ! At this price this stock is a real bargain, I am selling at a loss. The blank alone today would cost over 1K, then to have it made into a stock, finishing, etc, well over another 1K at least. It has had a barreled action in it, but not fired. Only shows normal handling from in and out of safe, etc. Feel free to call with any questions . Will allow 3 day visual inspection.
