Offered for your consideration is this classic Parker double in 16 gage on a #1 frame. Made in 1920 it has 28 inch barrels choked full (.636") and modified (.648"). The barrels retain 75% of the original blue with thinning at the carry point and muzzles. The barrels ring out properly and the ribs are as tight as the day they were made. The bores are excellent, mirror bright with no pitting. There is one tiny dent on top of the right barrel that is barely visable. The barrels lock up tight to the receiver, there is absolutely zero play, action is tight at the breech with the lever right of center on closing. The action retains case color in protected areas. The auto safety works correctly and the double triggers break crisply and evenly. The screw heads are excellent. The wood on this Parker retains a strong 75% of the original factory finish with the usual light marks and scratches from hunting use. There are two scratches on the buttstock right side that are barely through the varnish and will clean up. The original factory checkering is still prominate but is slightly worn from handling. The only dent in the checkering is a small one on the lower left grip border. There are no cracks, chips or extra holes. The LOP is 14 inches, drop at comb is 1 3/4 inches, drop at heel is 3 inches. The weight is 6 3/4 pounds. This is an extra nice, mechanically excellent vintage Parker for field or range.
