He told me he only had it to the range once. Now he has worsening COPD and can't hunt anymore. This 99 is so nice, I have been debating on selling it, or keeping it for myself. I recently bought a Model 70 Super Grade, so I must part with it. I never fired it. I have two new in the box clips for this rifle. They are in another auction here on the site. There is not ONE flaw with this rifle ANYWHERE. The black walnut stocks are beautiful. the bluing is rich and is not thinning anywhere. Not a scratch. Has Weaver bases and rings. A Nikon 3 x 9 x 50 Prostaff is mounted to the rifle, and the original owner zeroed it in. I will have to take it off to ship it though. As many of you know, this rifle has been out of production for 15 years now, due to it's high manufacturing cost {Savage caters to the budget rifleman}. It's last MSRP was over $800, back in 1998.
