I used it with an authentic stock and parts I bought to build a really beautiful, early war Arisaka type 99. The wood is like glass and I reblued everything (rust-not cold), I nickel-plated the bolt. The thing is beautiful. It even has the metal stand. It does not have the aircraft sight wings since it is an "A" typre sight. |

The rifle appears to be in good condition, however I have not yet shot it and am having it checked out. After I put six .22 LR cartridges into the magazine tube, I was unable to load more and was also unable to work the action to chamber a round. Upon letting the .22 LR cartridges slide out through the magazine tube, 12 .22 shorts also slid out, that I had not loaded. |
