Also known as the Win-Lite, the Model 59's unique barrel consists of a carbon fiber wrapped around a thin steel barrel liner and epoxied to produce a strong, straight barrel with an extremely light weight. The 59 was also the first widely available shotgun to feature threading for screw-in choke tubes, although this feature was not available on every model. With its lightened barrel and alloy receiver and a 2-3/4" chamber, the 59 is not designed for the heaviest of loads, but the shotgun has nevertheless become a trusty companion to many upland hunters who want the power of a shotgun in a package that they can carry comfortably all day.
