When Boring is Good: A Gun Snob Tests Kel-Tec’s Reliable and Cheap PF-9 9mm—Full Review.

While I was testing the Kel-Tec PF-9, everyone I encountered fell into three camps: Those who simply hated the brand, those that felt the gun was such a strong value that perhaps it should replace precious metals as a form of physical currency, and those who had never formed an opinion of the pistol at all. I was a never able to find anyone that had experience with the gun, but was ambivalent about it.

Beretta's 92 Compact INOX Model.

A Classic Reborn: The Beretta 92 Compact 9mm—Full Review.

To this day, my trusty Beretta 92 FS is among my favorites. Well used, with holster wear on all the rights spots, I can pretty much guarantee that it’s never going to leave my “go-to” collection. In fact, I’ve bought a second threaded barrel so I can shoot it suppressed and added Crimson Trace Lasergrips to modernize it a bit. Given my good experience with the full size 92 FS, I was keen to try the new and smaller 92 Compact model.

Sig Makes the P220 Into a Longslide Magnum? Full Hands-On Review.

“Elite” has become a popular buzzword these days. Everyone either wants to be elite or hate anyone or anything that is elite. But to abide by the dictionary, one of the principle meanings of the word is simply, “the best of a class”. I can’t think of a better description for the SIG Sauer P220 Match Elite in 10mm.

A Desert Eagle for CCW? Full Hands On Review.

This week we are reviewing the Baby Desert Eagle III in .45 ACP, a perfect blend of Israeli military design with a good old American man killer in the magazine. The Baby Eagle III is a double action/single action (DA/SA) pistol in .45 ACP (or 9mm) with combat experience in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), and a lineage traceable through Israel and directly back to the renowned CZ-75 pistol. But let’s get to the real question. Is this gun that is made and Israel and imported by Magnum Research a cool gun? Why, yes. Yes, it is.

Is The M9 Dead? First Look at Beretta's New Striker-Fired APX 9mm

Is The M9 Dead? First Look at Beretta’s New Striker-Fired APX 9mm

Two weeks ago, GunsAmerica got the invite to attend the Beretta Tactical Summit hosted at The O’Gara Group training facility in Virginia. The choice of venue was a deliberate step by Beretta as they aggressively step back into the tactical market, and featured toys from across the Beretta line. It was a really nice change from usual product releases, and the facility offered a chance to really wring out the new APX 9mm striker-fired pistol. We had to hold off publishing due to an embargo on info on the pistol, but finally, its day has come.
