GSG-9 Pistol Accepts SIG & Glock Mags — SHOT Show 2023

SHOT Show 2024

At Shot Show 2024, Jamie from American Tactical Imports (ATI) unveiled the GSG-9, a 9mm pistol with a 9 1/2 inch barrel. This new firearm, imported from Germany, is compatible with both Glock and SIG magazines, a feature Jamie was keen to point out.

What truly sets the GSG9 apart, though, is its price point. Retailing at $799, Jamie points out that it’s about $400 cheaper than its closest competitors, offering significant savings.

When prompted about its direct competition, Jamie didn’t hesitate to mention the SIG MPX. Each unit comes with a hammer-forged barrel and a lifetime warranty, serviced out of South Carolina.

Key features of the GSG-9 include a Picatinny rail for customization, side-charging capabilities adjustable for either side of the gun.

Jamie confirmed the readiness of the GSG-9 when he fired it for us during Range Day (see demo above). He encouraged potential buyers to visit www.americantactic.us for more information.

The GSG-9, with its combination of affordability and versatile features, is likely to attract interest. We have to put one through it’s paces before we can tell for sure if the juice is worth the squeeze.

Direct blowback? Roller-delayed blowback? Radial-delayed blowback? Isn’t this the first question everyone wants to know when considering a 9mm AR style pistol (or rifle)?

Does this lock to the rear on the last round? It really should with Glock mags.
