Police Release New Video Evidence in Baldwin Shooting Debacle

Current Events This Week

Police in Santa Fe, New Mexico, this week released several videos taken in and around the set of the movie “Rust” where Alec Baldwin shot two people late last year.

Most of the footage appears to concentrate on the time directly before and after the shooting, including when the police arrived on the scene to conduct interviews of the parties involved.

They do not include Baldwin’s actual shooting of the victims, deceased cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, and director Joel Souza.

Amid the release of the new evidence, media outlets report a slew of lawsuits and other oddities in relation to the case:

The script supervisor is suing Alec Baldwin.

The armorer is suing the ammo company and the company that provided the gun.

The head of lighting is suing Alec Baldwin.

Ms. Hutchins’ family is suing Alec Baldwin and other producers.

CNN reports that Ms. Hutchins’ family has written a letter and is demanding the Santa Fe Police Department take down the videos so that Ms. Hutchins’ child isn’t bullied.

“While the damage of publishing the video is irreparable, taking down the video will end your office’s complicity in causing further harm,” the letter reads.

The State of New Mexico, following an investigation into the on-set safety environment, has fined the movie producers $136,793 for firearm violations, the maximum allowed by law.

As for Baldwin, the actor recounts what happened in his own words shortly after the shooting.

“I take the gun out slowly. I turn, I cock the pistol,” Baldwin says, per NPR. “Bang, it goes off. She (Hutchins) hits the ground. She goes down. He (Souza) goes down screaming.”

Baldwin has explicitly denied in follow-up media interviews that he pulled the trigger.

Despite the finger-pointing and denials, questions remain that the videos fail to answer. Why was the gun pointed at the director and cinematographer of the film? How did the gun just “go off”? How did live rounds get on set and in the gun?

Many are now speculating on Twitter:

Perhaps, the only thing that makes sense is the statement from Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the 24-year-old armorer with fluorescent yellow and purple hair.

She said, “Mr. Baldwin knew that he could never point a firearm at crew members under any circumstances and had a duty of safety to his fellow crew members. Yet he did point the gun at Halyna before the fatal incident against all rules and common sense.”

Look at his trigger finger. Fucking idiot. He needs to go to prison.

More hate propaganda filmed with the backdrop of a fake Church posing as “entertainment.”

Baldwin should be facing the same jail time that PO’s face trying to do their jobs controlling criminal elements.

  • Ray Flaherty April 29, 2022, 3:21 pm

Since Baldwin has discovered self-firing weapons, the DOD should immediately stock these implements and furlough all active duty personnel, since they are no longer needed.

  • Douglas Myers April 29, 2022, 3:07 pm

If you’re anti-gun as much as Baldwin you shouldn’t hold any type of gun, real or prop. Using a gun in a movie while preaching against guns is total hypocrisy.

Git yo fanger outta thet triggerguard, you playactor, you! However, for clarification, harried Hanna is NOT suing the manufacturer of the ammo, but The Supplier, who supplied mixed ammo, some of which seems to have been kinda stolen from Hanna-girl’s famous father, who provided some of it to her supplier, and wasent paid for it. As for suing the supplier of the gun, there is a statement where she had to clean (at least one chamber) which wouldnt allow the alleged dummy round to chamber like she figgert it aughta. That gummed-up on just an 8-day production? Of course, ocd as i am, i woulda likely, on arrival, had the gun striped down/cleaned/oiled/cycled the action a dozen-or-ten times for smoothness of function, before i put it out for use. And, then, there’s the stories about the cast/crew taking the same gun out for a plinking-and-lunch break earlier that week, which i cant find again… and that same gun going-off (“misfired”; I. E. Negligent Discharge) twice while (his body double?) “was just holding it”. And harried Hannah being told to stop complaining about things only She thought imoirtant… Eh, such a mess!

Alec Baldwin’s behavior is absolutely typical of the Democrat mindset, blame everyone else without taking personal responsibility.
Where is the actual piece of un-edited film evidence capturing Alec Baldwin pointing the cocked single action revolver at Hutchins and Souza and then pulling the trigger, resulting in one dead and one wounded co-worker?
Are movie actors required to possess a Firearm Safety Card by passing the Firearm Safety Exam?
Whether the Armorer was multi-tasking or not, she shares responsibility for live ammunition being present on the movie set and for being loaded into the revolvers being used in that fatal unfortunate film sequence.
One person was killed and one person was wounded due to negligence on a workplace movie set.
Bottom line, aren’t employers required to provide a safe work environment?

Baldwin lies. Movie lady dies. Crew cries. After all is said and done, maybe Alec fries? Nah. Just wishing of the type pie-in-the-sky.

  • Stan d. Upnow April 29, 2022, 8:51 am

Just based on the utterly preposterous LIES told by Baldwin and that girl “armorer,” the two of them are guilty.
SA revolvers don’t cock their hammers & pull their triggers themselves. The girl blames the ammo mfr. for boxing live rounds in a box marked blanks? Even if true, You are the one loading the prop gun, and You can’t tell the difference between a live round and a blank, Ms. “Armorer?” BS on both counts.

  • D.J. April 29, 2022, 8:24 am

“ The armorer is suing the ammo company and the company that provided
    the ….“ firearm ?
Did I read that right ? Seriously ?
Whom is responsible for the weapon again ? Whom was to secure and
    clear it ?
Despite the fact that “ stupid little , spoiled rich boy “ is going to get away with
this act of irresponsibility , that he clearly was at fault for , we now see Ms. technicolor
    hairdo’s threats of lawsuit .
Man , what’s this world coming to ?
    Someone should sell tickets !

      cue the Benny Hill music

  • Anthony Romano April 29, 2022, 7:53 am

He clearly had his finger on the trigger. When you cock a revolver the trigger pull is very very light! He’s an idiot!

  • Mike Wagner April 29, 2022, 7:19 am

Besides everything he did wrong, he’s a proven liar so we can’t believe anything he says. His finger was clearly and fully on the trigger, even though he told the world it wasn’t.

  • Tom April 29, 2022, 7:12 am

His finger was on the trigger. Definitely the gun’s fault for working properly.

  • Robert Peterson April 29, 2022, 6:09 am

The man violated every gun safety rule. It’s not like there are many of them or they are complicated. There are four rules, and they’re common sense. Although for someone with no common sense I guess they would be difficult to follow. This is the New Mexico version of negligent homicide at the least.

    • Spudnut April 29, 2022, 9:43 am

Unfortunately common sense isn’t common to everyone.

And this loser clearly falls into that category.
