SHOT Show 2022

At SHOT Show 2022, Seekins Precision showcased its Havak HIT bolt-action rifle. Purpose-built, this chassis rifle features many new components designed for “utility, ease-of-use, and affordability.”

The Havak HIT by Seekins Precision.

At the heart of the Havak HIT lies a silky smooth action ready to perform. Featuring an extended thread tenon with a flat bottom, and an integrated recoil lug along with a 20MOA rail, the HIT requires no need for bedding within the chassis.

The tool-less bolt combined with Seekins’ “quick-change barrel system” allow the user to swap from standard to magnum calibers in 90 seconds! The interchangeable bolt head and M16 style extractor are very nice touches.

Currently, the HIT is available from the factory in 6MM GT, 6MM Creedmoor, 6.5MM Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, and 308 Winchester.

Sporting an adjustable Timney Elite Hunter trigger, factory set at 2.5lbs, the user interface on this rifle will be beautiful. The magwell is adjustable to allow for single stack AI and Pmags.

Incorporating what are almost serrations to the front of the magwell, Seekins designed a great textured surface for use as a barricade stop. Another unique feature of the HIT is the added dust cover. Keeping your bolt running smoothly is ideal, and this feature will help when out in the wild.

The chassis utilizes a tool-less length of pull and cheek height adjustments. The recoil pad is also fully adjustable. Incorporating a stock that will fold over the bolt allows the HIT to maintain a minimal footprint when carrying in a bag and it also helps to remove snag hazards. This bolt gun uses standard AR-style grips, which can be swapped out if desired.

While the HIT barrels come with different twists rates based on caliber, the HIT will have an LT Tactical contour for its 416 stainless steel 24″ barrels. Featuring 5R rifling, this rifle is ready to group lead.

The standard 5/8×24″ muzzle thread also allows for easy swaps on muzzle devices or adding a suppressor.
