Don’t look to Europe or the US for top value anymore. Look to South America and especially
Taurus for value, service, and quality.

Is industry raping the public, or just trying to price the working class out of the market?

It’s a high end gun. There are a slew of gunmakers producing high end 1911s costing thousands, are they pricing people out of the market too? Or how about Chevy selling Suburbans in High Country trim with MSRP north of $70k? If Sig was the only gunmaker and all they sold was the P210, you might have a point, but that’s not even close to being the case.

I always wondered why Sig didn’t just remake the 210 to take 320 mags?
That would motivate me to buy another one.
    I couldn’t get used to just 8 rounds in a 9mm-even though I love 1911’s.

I guess the reason for liking this gun has something to do with its accuracy? In comparison to a lot of much easier guns to carry (lighter weight, smaller, etc) not to mention capacity, I just don’t quite get it. I am a Sig fan mind you, so it is the concept. I have a P229, a P227 at 15 and 10 rounds respectively (45acp on latter) at about the same weight I believe. My carry pieces now are P365 SAS with 12 rounds (albeit a complete pain in the butt to load) or my Hellcat with 13. Dragging around a lot of excess bulk and weight are not my cuppa.

I think round count is important, too.

    MSRP?

    • John K February 11, 2022, 8:29 am

$1299 MSRP. I got the feeling with no RDO, which is so popular, there will be discounts.

Also 8 rounds is a negative.

Will be interesting to see where it goes

Everything I could wish for in a EDC, except an ambi safety.

Perhaps with SIG going this route, we’ll see the return of the P239.
