Description:

This is an interesting piece. Up for sale is a pirate flintlock pistol. Upon research and comparison with similar pistols found online, It appears to be made somewhere along the North African Barbary coast in the late 1700s or early 1800s. Something that's fascinating is the ramrod is fake and actually carved into the stock to look like a real one. Apparently they carried their ramrod separately. It also appears to have had several repairs as pieces don't quite match up, or maybe that's just the way it was made, because other ones I've seen online are just a jumble of parts as well. The lock is very hard to cock, and I don't want to damage the pistol, so I'll leave that up to the buyer.
