Vintage Firearms Inc is pleased to offer this Springfield 1903 rifle. Serial numbered 1329848 this rifle was manufactured in 1929 at the Springfield armory. It has a San Antonio Arsenal Cartouche and a Remington Arms barrel dated 7-43 with four grooves and a mirror bore, and lightning cuts on the sight sleeve. The C type stock is a National Match variation and has the number D1836 on the stock belly, it has a cut out for a Lyman #48s sight, this example is fitted with a Lyman 57SME peep. The rear leaf sight is a NM type and is easily removable from its stud to enable easy use of the Lyman receiver mounted peep. The furniture features very nice straight grain with a satin finish, Parkerizing shows as 98% overall. A handsome target rifle. Thanks for looking!
