Double / single action revolver, hammer nose ignition with internal hammer block. Steel metal, correct Rogers polymer grips. 6 rounds .38 Special, Not for +P. Barrel is 2 inch full lug. Serrated blade front and fixed notch rear sights. .225 serrated trigger with matching hammer. 1.40” cylinder dia.; 6 3/4 “ length; 4 1/2 height; weight 21.5 oz. empty. Correct cylinder timing all six, single action pull = 6 1/2 #. Cylinder has no lateral play whatsoever in cocked position. Forcing cone gap measures .003. Carbon and blast effect are minimal. We estimate it was actually fired fewer than 300 times. Bore, cylinder chambers, and mechanism are all bright and clean. Finish is polished surface nickel, with serrated frame sight area. Grips are period correct Rogers polymer, patterned closely to the originals. Ramey AFB / Borinquen CGAS jurisdictional domicile, attest its squadron markings on the guard, barrel lug, and top strap. It served front line vs. castro and cartels. Surface detractions are moderate, principally toning on the grip frame and finish scouring. We rate this 2 inch Detective as Very Good, 75 to 80 percent vicinity, but photos ought to suffice. Transferable to C&Rs and to eligible Californians due to its age. No MA non-C&R civilians.
