Merkel - Gebruder Suhl, O/U, 20ga. 26" Barrels. 26" solid rib, three piece forend, made in January of 1952. This is a magnificent full sidelock gun that features oak leaves and acorns along with highly detailed game scenes of German grouse, pheasants, and multiple birds surrounded by semi relief scoll. Capped pistol grip, horned butt, gold oval, magnificent piece of turkish walnut. Fine line checkering with beautiful original factory oak leaf and acorn carving. Although this gun was made in 1952 it is unfired and in perfect condition. Hinged front trigger, automatic ejector. The very highest quality of workmanship, even moreso that the pre war era of guns. This is a perfect gun and is untouched. Improved cylinder and modified. This is just a wonderful gun and it is a full side lock and it is the best.
