We have a team that does check the functions, and cycling of rounds through the firearms. We rigorously check that they are able to rack the slide effectively, or for revolvers, pass a twelve dry fire rotation completely with minimum effort.

Most of the subcompact guns are a bit snappy, but the Taurus GX4 has surprisingly manageable recoil. Its low bore axis helps reduce muzzle rise, and the undercut trigger guard provides a higher grip, both resulting in better control of the gun during rapid fire. The pistol comes with two different-sized interchangeable backstraps, which allow the shooter better customization. The grip frame is made of polymer, while the chassis, slide, and barrel are made of high-quality stainless steel. Magazine capacity is 11+1 rounds, (10+1 in states with restrictions), packed in a double-stack magazine. There are also 13-round magazines available, which extend the grip and provide an even better grasp. Three passive safety features are built into the design: a trigger safety, a firing-pin block, and a loaded chamber indicator. The Taurus GX4 is an accurate pistol ideal for concealed and everyday carry.
