New lower price as of 1/21/24. Condition is Used, not Used as new, the GA site has been having glitches with postings lately. Double 32" Barrels. Exposed Hammers. Damascus. Auction House I bought it from a year ago listed it as Grade 5 engraving. I'm not sure it's Grade 5 because I think Grade 5 should have engraving on the sides of the hammers and on the underside of the breech. This one doesn't, but compares to other Grade 5 claims I've seen in every other way. You can be your own judge based on the photos I can provide. You can do a comparison to Gunbroker item 984810124, which is someone else's gun, and a little nicer than mine. Much higher in price though too. Barrels were video-scope inspected by a trustworthy gunsmith I use, and he says the barrels are good to go, just stick with the black powder rounds it was built for and don't try modern loads. I make my own black powder rounds and the gun works fine. I've only put 10 rounds through it but hasn't given me any operational issues. Outer metal has grey to brown patina. Some wear on the engraving on the trigger guard. Bores are shiny and in good shape but have some expected light surface pitting patches here and there through the length, as is typical to firearms pushing 140 years old. This gun has not been refinished, the metal and wood has been allowed to naturally age. The stock has darkened and has some handling marks, but no gouges, and no cracks except one short one (3/4") that is in the far pointed end of the forehand wood, which isn't a spot that is subject to shock from shell discharge so it must be a natural dry crack and so should be a non-issue. I will provide a couple dozen hi-res photos and a video clip of the firearm in operation to any SERIOUS buyer. I am not a dealer. Since I myself do not have an FFL, I will need to ship to an FFL to any out of state buyer regardless that this firearm is exempt due to being antique.
