Marlin  / Sears - Levermatic Model 46 - .22 LR Rifle - Smooth Monte Carlo pistol grip style stock and forend with sling swivels  and butt plate . Lever action. 22 In . long barrel with adj. open rear sight and a ramped front bead sight. Bore is clean and bright with good rifling. Includes two - 10 round .22 LR magazines. Barrel and receiver retaining approx. 90%bluing. Stock , forend and butt plate are in very good condition with minimal handling marks . Includes a new soft sleeve. Overall condition is very good. This is a very rare rifle as Marlin reportedly only manufactured 407 for Sears. They were manufactured from 1955 to 1964. The Marlin equivalent is the Model 56 known for is short throw lever action. Great find for our J.C. Higgins and Sears collectors.
