Description:

From a mid-west sale, a half stock Antique eastern style 36 caliber Percussion Rifle. The aged wood is Tiger Striped maple and is aged to a uniform color with the butt stock much darker. There are dents, dings, cracks and very neat old repairs chronicling the nearly 200 years of use. There is a small amount of wood wood loss at the top of the lock (see photos) and the toe has been damaged and the butt plate modified to fit (see photos). The neat old repairs are done in a primitive way as would have been done on the American frontier (see photos). The stock is solid (not loose) and has a German silver nose cap, one steel thimble, brass trigger guard and crescent butt plate. The metal finish is a mottled brown patina with some oxidation (see photos). The gun is 48" over all length with a 32" barrel (What I can see of the bore looks dark....I have not cleaned this gun). It came with a steel ram rod a fixed rear sight and a blade front sight (see photos). The lock and double set triggers function as they should (the triggers need to be set before the rifle is cocked). The lock has some stamps but are unreadable (see photos). At the sale they said this rifle has been converted from a flintlock. (see photos) I can not guarantee a gun this old will shoot however it appears, with a little freshening up, this gun could be back in the field or on the target range for another 200 years use. At the sale they had no additional history about the gun however, everything appears old and original to my eye and the rifle has the classic slim lines of an Eastern style rifle from the late 1700's/early 1800's. This is a piece of American craftsmanship form the "Golden Age" of American gun making loaded with character and history but since there is no visible maker's mark on the rifle I can not guarantee the origins of this gun; therefore, I am offering it with a 100% satisfaction guarantee, if it does not live up to your expectations in any way return it for a full and speedy refund including your return shipping (see my feedback). We trade guns. No reserve.

NO FFL REQUIRED....CAN BE SHIPPED TO A RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS.
